ALPINOLS donates to TERRE DES FEMMES

March 8 is International Women's Day - a world day that was first celebrated in 1911. In Berlin, this date is already an official public holiday. To celebrate this special day, ALPINOLS is donating part of the proceeds to the women's rights organization TERRE DES FEMMES.

We at ALPINOLS want to get involved on International Women's Day and donate part of our revenue to a good cause. That's why we are sharing 10 percent of the revenue we generate in our online store from March 8 to March 13, 2022 with the non-profit organization TERRE DES FEMMES.

What is International Women's Day?

International Women's Day has existed for more than 100 years. It was established to promote equality between the sexes and to introduce the right to vote for women. It was also intended to strengthen the emancipation of female workers. This year's motto is: "Change is female".

Why TERRE DES FEMMES?

TERRE DES FEMMES - Menschenrechte für die Frau e.V. is an internationally active organization with headquarters in Berlin, which is specifically committed to the protection, rights and concerns of women. The donation-based organization was founded with the registration of a non-profit association in Hamburg in 1981.

The international organization is divided into city and university groups and is represented in numerous cities in various German-speaking countries. In addition, TERRE DES FEMMES supports self-managed women's rights projects around the world. The thematic focus of TERRE DES FEMMES is on genital mutilation, domestic and sexualized violence, violence in the name of honour, trafficking in women and prostitution, equality and integration, reproductive rights and international cooperation.
